A Message From Our Founder

Hello Foodocracy Family!

I have some really huge news to share.

Foodocracy is getting a sister, a sister company that is. 

You may have heard that one of our beloved partners, Primary Beans, has announced that it was their last harvest. Like many others I was devastated. Primary Beans not only has some of the freshest and most delicious beans ever, they also support biodiversity and soil health by creating a demand for unique heirloom beans grown by uncompromising independent farms. 

After many months of long conversations I'm honored to announce that Lesley, the founder of Primary Beans, has chosen me to take the reins and I could not be more excited about what this means for Foodocracy.

Lesley and I have been working double time to get the new harvest packaged up and available as soon as possible. There are exciting new varieties to look forward and new farmers to meet in addition to the familiar favorites you've grown to love at Foodocracy like Blue House Farms and Fifth Crow Farms.

All About Primary Beans

We've been a big fan of Primary Beans from the beginning. It's a woman founded brand sourcing beans directly from uncompromising small, independent farms that prioritize soil health and people health. Lesley's background in agriculture led her to create relationships with really remarkable farmers that are growing beans in harmony with nature.

Until now we've only been able to work with farms that package their beans and grains for retail sales. There are so many small farms that don't have the bandwidth to become their own brands and market their products. Now we are able to work with these incredible farmers in addition to supporting the farms you already love

What the Future Looks Like For Primary Beans and Foodocracy

Primary Beans will continue bringing you the most flavorful farm fresh heirloom beans from farm to table. You'll be able to buy all of the Primary Beans in the Foodocracy Store soon. Primary Beans store will remain all about beans but we'll be adding a few of our pantry staples like the Caribbean bay leaves and kombu. 

Foodocracy will remain the same great store you've come to love with beans, grains, spices and pantry goodies from small, independent farms.
