This is how oats should taste, hearty and fresh with a toothsome texture. Highly recommend if you want a change from your usual oatmeal.

Used in a marinated salad - so yummy!

Cooked them on the stovetop with just salt and kombu and then made the suggested salad. My (somewhat) picky family has asked me to bring the salad to the lake with us. Will definitely purchase again if they become available.

I used Ayocote Medianoche beans and made the recipe that was given for the bean salad. It was lovely! The flavor and hardiness of the bean was so nice! We enjoyed the salad so much that my husband requested I get more to make the salad again. If you haven’t tried this you must! It is delicious!

wonderful bean--esp the texture for its size!

I'm a huge grain fan and this is the best millet I've tried. A little sweet, a little nutty - it cooked perfectly and it's going into my regular grain rotation!

The Medianoche beans are life changing.

Generally speaking, I am not a lover of the larger beans (I'm more of a Peruano- or Tepary-sized bean person) but these are awesome. I did a down and dirty cook on them - salt and a couple of cloves of garlic - and they were creamy and held their shape without the skin being tough. I couldn't stop picking at them in the pot! A heads up - they cook a lot faster than you'd think given their size.

I've tried to get in a certain uber exclusive fancy schmancy bean club for years. Never could get in. Kinda forgot about it.

Until I saw some instagram posts about foodocracy getting sued over the "bean club" trademark. Immediately joined out of spite. Now I'm eating the most delicious beans I've ever tasted on the reg.

If you've ever struggled to cook dried beans- this is the best way to boost your confidence. These heirloom beans are so fresh and fool proof. They look fancy and finicky but cook up so easy. You can make fancy things with them... or you can be lazy and just cook them with minimal seasoning because they really are that delicious. Don't sleep on these beans.

I received my order 2 days ago and soaked the beans overnight the pressure cooked with roasted poblanos. . They are amazing. Fat, plump, meaty and a perfect skin. I hope these will be available year round. I just ordered 2 more pounds.
