Texture and flavor much like pinto beans
These cooked up in about an hour (I didn't pre-soak them). The tasted great — in my opinion, they had the texture and flavor similar to pinto beans. I enjoyed them. Nice to eat beans of a different color once in a while. :-)

Used these in a simple, but nourishing, soup with onion, garlic, carrot, bacon, generic Italian seasoning, and a "super greens" mix (spinach, kale, etc.). Made it happen in the Instant Pot and the beans came out absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!
