    SHIPPING

    We offer $11.99 flat rate shipping within the contiguous US.

    A rate of $25 applies to orders shipping to Alaska or Hawaii for orders up to 13 pounds, and $50 for orders 14 pounds and above.

    The majority of our products are shipped via USPS and UPS Ground.

    We can not ship to U.S. Territories or P.O.Box/APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

    If something is particularly heavy, bulky, comes in an especially cumbersome package, or is perishable an extra surcharge will be noted on the product page and at checkout.

    If your order is returned to us as undeliverable, to the delivery address you have provided, we will not refund the original cost of shipping and you will be liable for any return charges imposed by the delivery agent and/or the cost to redeliver your order to you. Should you choose not to have your order redelivered at your own cost, we will refund your order, the original cost of shipping your order to you will be deducted from your refund. 

    MISSING OR DAMAGED ITEMS

    At Foodocracy, we take great care in packaging each order to ensure it arrives safely. However, we understand that mistakes can happen or items may be damaged during transit. We are committed to resolving any issues quickly and efficiently.  

    Missing or Damaged Items  
    If any items are missing from your order or arrive damaged, we will issue a full refund for the affected items, provided the following conditions are met:  

    1. Mandatory Proof of Missing or Damaged Items:  
       To process your claim, you must provide the following:  
       - Photographs of the original shipping box  
       - Photographs of the shipping label, clearly showing the tracking number.  
       - Photographs of all items received, including any damaged items.  
       - Photographs of the packaging materials inside the box (for damaged items).  

    2. Timeframe for Reporting:  
       - All claims must be submitted within 10 days of delivery.  

    3. How to Submit a Claim:  
       - Email all required documentation to info@shopfoodocracy.com with your order number clearly stated in the subject line.  

    Refund Process  
    Once we receive and review the required documentation, we will process your refund promptly. Refunds are typically issued within 7 days to the original payment method.  

    Important Notes  
    - Photographs are mandatory for all claims, including missing items. Claims submitted without the required photographs cannot be processed.

    RETURNS

    Unfortunately food cannot be returned do to FDA and California food safety regulations.

    Additional non-returnable items: 
    - Gift cards 
    - Downloadable software products 

    Our policy for non-food items lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. 

    To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. 

    To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. 
    Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. 

    There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable) 
    - Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error 
    - Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery 

    Refunds (if applicable) 
    Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. 
    If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. 

    Late or missing refunds (if applicable) 
    If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. 
    Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. 
    Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

    Sale items (if applicable) 
    Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. 

    Exchanges  
    We do not offer exchanges due to the expense (and carbon footprint) of shipping. We will offer a refund or store credit if applicable.

    Gifts 
    If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you. 

    If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and he will find out about your return. 

    Shipping

    You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. 

    Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. 

    If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
