  • Chico Rice Japonica Brown Rice

Nutty, fragrant, and deeply satisfying — this is brown rice that actually tastes like something. A family farm grain, grown with soil health and sustainability at the center, on the same Northern California land since 1928. Freshly milled, full bran intact, no harmful chemicals.

Japonica rice has been the backbone of California's rice country for over a century, and Chico Rice keeps that tradition alive the right way. The result is a bold, toasty aroma and a chewy, satisfying bite that makes it a grain worth building a meal around. The intact bran layer delivers natural fiber, vitamins, and minerals that keep you full and fueled. Great as the anchor of a grain bowl, the base for a creamy risotto, or alongside a sizzling stir fry.

Stewards of the land for four generations. Rather than burning fields post-harvest — a common practice in conventional rice farming — the family blends crop residue back into the soil, building soil structure and creating wildlife habitat. It's a commitment to keeping the air, soil, and water clean for generations to come.
