This delicious Meyer lemon spread is hand made in small batches and it's the best thing to happen to scones, biscuits or toast. Pastry chef Cheri Robertson was inspired by her beautiful Meyer lemon tree to create this mouthwatering artisanal spread.
Meyer lemon is an Ark of Taste ingredient that is ubiquitous with winter in California. Grown in back yards and small farms up and down the California coast, Meyers are a cross between a lemon and a mandarin orange and they are prized by chefs for their unique tart yet sweet flavor. You'll find so many ways to enjoy this delicious spread that you'll be scraping the bottom of the jar in no time. We recommend buying two.
This has a very fine flavor, but the consistency is runny. It's nice mixed with yogurt, but not so good for spreading.
Glad you find it tasty, we do too. The 'spoon preserves' from Girl Meets Dirt are a unique texture. They are designed to be spooned over things rather than spread like a jam. Yogurt is a great call. They're also amazing over ice cream or spooned over biscuits or cheese. Hope you enjoy! You may want to try some of the jams from Laura Ann Jams which have a more traditional jam texture while still having delicious chunks of fruit.
