Winner of a 2020 Good Food Award, this Seka Hills small batch olive oil was harvested in 2019 from olive trees that boarder the olive mill on the tribal land of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation meaning "Home by the Spring Water." Made from estate grown Piqual olives grown in the blue "Seka" hills of the Capay Valley, California where sustainability and environmental care is considered the utmost important for this 1,200 acres of land rich with agriculture.
These estate olives were harvested and delivered immediately to their world-class Alpha Laval mill. Picual, is the most widely planted olive in Spain and in California is rapidly becoming known as distinctive, nuanced oil with its classic tomato leaf aroma. This is a gentle oil with herbaceous character and tones of green almond.
