One chef described them as "liquid salt." This hand crafted soy is something different, something special. It is packed with deep umami and layers of smoke that enhances the flavor of foods. We use it sparingly as a finishing soy sauce on everything from poké bowls and steak tartare to green beans (seriously, try it.) A little goes a long way with this powerhouse of a condiment.
Bluegrass Soy Sauce is microbrewed in small batches using only whole Kentucky grown Non-GMO soybeans, soft red winter wheat, and the purest limestone filtered Kentucky spring water. Bourbon Barrel Foods ferments and ages the soybean mash in re-purposed bourbon barrels. It’s smoky and brothy with hints of oak and a mild sweetness reminiscent of fine Kentucky bourbon.
