Cardamom Bitters

Good Food Award Winning Cardamom Bitters from the Bitter Housewife were originally created as part of a signature cocktail for a good friend’s bachelorette getaway.  It turns out cardamom goes with just about everything. Genevieve, the bitter housewife, often calls them duplicitous because they add a lovely depth to sweeter fruit-based drinks, but also blend right in with the smoky characteristics of an anejo tequila or scotch.

To some Cardamom Bitters remind them of Christmas spice cookies, but others think of garam masala or lamb skewers. They are as much savory as they are sweet and that’s why they’re so fun.
