Blend 1/2 cup of the oats in a blender on high power until it becomes a rough powder.
In a large bowl, use a rubber spatula to combine the remaining rolled oats, the blended oat powder, chia seeds , nut butter, 1/4 cup of coconut flakes and chocolate chips.
Place the mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Roll golfball sized balls of the mixture with your hands and then roll in the remaining coconut flakes.
Refrigerate the finished bliss balls for up to 2 weeks. They can be frozen for up to a month.
